TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team in Appomattox, Virginia. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role requires working onsite at our Appomattox facility, with patient care primarily in home settings. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle while making a significant difference in the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments for children, analyzing their mobility, strength, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, considering the unique challenges and goals of each child.
• Regularly reassess patient progress and clinical signs to ensure the effectiveness of treatment strategies and make necessary adjustments.
• Accurately document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes using the company's electronic health record system to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, including expected outcomes and potential challenges, encouraging active participation in the treatment plan.
• Maintain minimum utilization goals and support other business objectives as determined by the management team, contributing to the center's operational success.
• Collaborate with other therapists and professionals within the organization to develop integrated treatment approaches for clients receiving multiple services.
• Promote the company's culture and core values as an ambassador of TheraPlay, engaging with colleagues and clients to foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population will include children suffering from various orthopedic and developmental conditions, requiring tailored physical therapy interventions. You will work with young patients of diverse backgrounds, empowering them through specialized care and rehabilitation strategies. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is mandatory.
• Possession of current and unrestricted licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of Virginia is required.
• Proficiency in conducting physical therapy evaluations and treatment sessions both in-person and via telehealth, if clinically appropriate.
• A strong passion for working with a diverse pediatric population, demonstrating cultural competence and empathy.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
