Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, providing flexibility and comfort for our therapists while allowing them to reach clients in need across different geographical locations. You will be using telehealth platforms to connect with clients, ensuring that you can maintain a high level of engagement while adhering to best practices in virtual therapy. Our organization values work-life balance, offering a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients, ensuring personalized and effective care.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences, promoting active participation in their therapeutic journey.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate skill development and foster healthier coping mechanisms.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in managing their conditions.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and address emergent needs effectively.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated approach to client care, addressing both mental and physical health needs.

• Stay current on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments, integrating new knowledge into practice to enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that client privacy is upheld at all times.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and case consultations to foster a culture of continuous learning and improve service delivery.

• Advocate for both individual clients and broader mental health access initiatives to reduce stigma and enhance community understanding of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to provide support to clients dealing with a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will be working with diverse individuals, including homeless populations, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, all of whom require understanding, empathy, and practical support as they navigate their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• An earned Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
