MedSphere Counseling Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team full-time in a remote setting based out of Reno, Nevada. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing specialized mental health services to individuals affected by trauma, enhancing their recovery journey through evidence-based practices.

Work Environment\n

This full-time position offers a remote work setting, giving you the flexibility to deliver care from home while maintaining strong connections with your clients and colleagues. Although the majority of your work will be conducted remotely, you will engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to foster a collaborative atmosphere. Our typical office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic strategies aimed at recovery and resilience building, leveraging evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging clients to process their trauma, build coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective stabilization for clients in need.

• Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to deliver integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of patients.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma, helping them understand responses and coping mechanisms, and empower them with resources for recovery.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Stay current with research and best practices in trauma therapy through ongoing professional development and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your empathetic approach and trauma-informed practices will enable you to connect with clients on a personal level, fostering a therapeutic alliance that is crucial for effective healing. You will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journey, helping them reclaim their lives and improve their emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, particularly in trauma-focused therapy.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a wide range of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Proven ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other applicable computer applications.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
