Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine effective treatment modalities.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients address trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and navigate their healing journeys.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, effectively stabilizing and helping clients manage distress.
• Educate both patients and their families on trauma responses and the resources available to support their healing processes.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards to uphold patient privacy.
• Engage in continuous learning by participating in case consultations and team meetings, remaining informed about advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a therapist at Embrace Life Behavioral Health Center, you will primarily work with adults and adolescents who have experienced diverse forms of trauma. This includes those recovering from childhood abuse, domestic violence, and other significant life events that impact mental health. Your role will include tailoring interventions that respect their individual experiences and cultural backgrounds, ensuring that every client feels valued and understood.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate approach to treatment.
• Capability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, providing steadfast support to clients in crises.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient patient documentation.
• A collaborative spirit, willing to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of health professionals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Expertise in developing and implementing effective trauma recovery programs.
• Prior involvement in community health initiatives or outreach programs related to mental health.

Compensation and Benefits
