Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments of clients to understand their unique trauma histories and develop personalized treatment strategies.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting resilience, healing, and overall mental well-being.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions where clients can process their trauma experiences and practice coping strategies in a safe environment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated care for clients navigating their recovery journey.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, delivering support and guidance as needed.
• Educate clients and their families about common trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings that focus on best practices in trauma-informed care.
• Stay updated on emerging research and methodologies related to trauma therapy, ensuring your practice remains at the forefront of mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be working with individuals grappling with the profound effects of trauma. You will provide compassionate support to clients dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, aiding them in navigating their recovery and fostering their path towards wellness. Your clinical expertise will directly influence patient outcomes, helping them build resilience and recover from their experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a solid foundation in trauma-informed care practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.
• A calm disposition capable of managing high-stress situations effectively.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications for documentation and communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focusing on trauma and mental health treatment.
• Previous experience in providing therapeutic services remotely, utilizing telehealth platforms.
