Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide emergency mental health counsel to individuals experiencing crises, efficiently de-escalating potentially volatile situations to minimize the need for law enforcement intervention.

• Collaborate with police personnel to train them on effective strategies for managing mental health episodes, aiming to optimize outcomes and reduce the use of force.

• Engage with community resources, including the Department of Mental Health and nearby psychiatric facilities, to coordinate case management and patient follow-ups.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records of patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the integrity of sensitive information.

• Assist in conducting psychiatric evaluations in the field, determining the necessity for 5150 or 5585 applications to facilitate involuntary detentions when appropriate.

• Deliver short-term crisis counseling for individuals displaying non-violent symptoms, expecting to guide them toward recovery with compassion and expertise.

• Support law enforcement during mental health-related responses, providing clinical assessment and intervention that informs their approach to such situations.

Qualifications\n

• An active and valid LPCC license, with profound knowledge of mental health policies and best practices.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually , commensurate with experience and credentials.
