Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the symptoms and severity of mood disorders in clients.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques.
\n
• Monitor client progress, adaptations of treatment plans, and document changes in accordance with best practices.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to integrate care and enhance therapeutic interventions.

• Stay informed about current research and developments in the field of mood disorders to incorporate the latest strategies into practice.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the community, reducing stigma and promoting awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will provide essential support to vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, helping them navigate their challenges and improve their mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain a safe therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients’ struggles and life situations.

• Strong organizational skills and time management abilities crucial for managing caseloads effectively.
