Work Environment\n

The therapist will operate in a fully remote work setting, utilizing state-of-the-art telehealth technology to connect with clients. Regular team meetings and collaborative efforts are conducted through virtual platforms, ensuring ongoing communication and support. As part of our commitment to cultural competence, our team engages in continuous training, allowing therapists to stay informed about best practices and emerging therapies relevant to our diverse clientele. We offer flexibility in scheduling while maintaining core office hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with the possibility of adjusting hours to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that include understanding clients' cultural backgrounds, strengths, and challenges to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each individual.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that respect the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing strategies that promote resilience and support mental wellness.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care, discussing treatment progress regularly during case conferences.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients during mental health emergencies, utilizing strong de-escalation techniques and creating safety plans when necessary.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, thereby empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

• Maintain precise documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality while utilizing electronic health records (EHR) effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
