This position operates entirely in a remote telehealth setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a structured workday that supports both professional productivity and personal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct engaging individual therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy, establishing a safe and supportive atmosphere for sharing and healing.

• Perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Provide education on coping strategies and social skills, effectively addressing anger management and reducing risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions or physical aggression.

• Assist clients and their caretakers in enhancing decision-making skills, aiming to manage challenging behavioral issues in home settings.

• Collaborate constructively with other professionals, including social workers and medical teams, to provide holistic support to clients and their families.

• Ensure timely and accurate documentation for all interactions, including initial assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established timelines.

• Participate actively in monthly team meetings and submit required weekly reporting to maintain organizational efficiency.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or a closely related field (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) is required.

• Completion of post-internship field experience with adults is essential.

• Demonstrated proficiency in developing treatment plans, setting therapeutic goals, and writing progress notes.

• Familiarity with various counseling methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed approaches.

• A solid understanding and practical experience using the DSM-V for assessment and diagnosis.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support to clients is crucial.

• Required documentation upon application includes a resume and copies of your Master’s degree along with your Michigan certification or license.

• Prior training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training.

• Experience with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis treatment is desirable.
