Work Environment\n

As a remote therapist, you will operate from the comfort of your own space, utilizing technology to connect with clients across New Jersey. While you will enjoy the flexibility of remote work, you will also be an integral part of a collaborative team that meets regularly to discuss cases and engage in cultural competency training. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of each client and to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques in delivering care tailored to individual circumstances, ensuring a responsive approach to therapy.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to effectively address various mental health concerns, fostering resilience among clients.

• Cooperate and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing mental health emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed manner.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health challenges, treatment methodologies, and available resources within the community.

• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines while using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in regular case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills.

• Stay updated on current research and trends within the mental health field, especially concerning cultural considerations in therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, demonstrating compliance with professional standards.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based treatment approaches that reflect cultural sensitivity.

• Proven experience providing individual and group therapy, ideally using approaches that are culturally inclusive and responsive.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for the development of rapport with a wide range of individuals.

• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and computer-based clinical applications.

• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.

Compensation and Benefits\n
