Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients presenting with mood disorders to accurately diagnose and evaluate the severity and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and treatment goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), facilitating sessions that promote clients’ mental health and well-being.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment strategies, and the importance of ongoing support and self-care practices.

• Monitor client progress, documenting advancements in treatment and modifying plans as needed in response to their evolving situations.

• Engage with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals within the practice to ensure a collaborative, integrated approach to client care.

• Commit to remaining current with the latest research on mood disorders, integrating new information into treatment plans when applicable.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with applicable legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultation, team meetings, and professional development workshops to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health challenges, particularly mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals diagnosed with mood disorders, which often include those struggling with significant emotional challenges such as depression and anxiety. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Two years of post-licensure experience preferred, specifically in treating mood disorders.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders, like CBT and DBT, ensuring best practices are implemented in client sessions.

• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to mood disorders and the ability to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect meaningfully with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, with additional benefit opportunities, including sign-on bonuses for early applicants.
