Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, ensuring a clear understanding of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based interventions and address a holistic range of wellness needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients develop essential coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills.

• Monitor clients' substance use progress regularly using best practices, incorporating motivational interviewing to inspire change and engagement in treatment.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Keep accurate records of client treatment processes, including interventions and referrals, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and learning from others to enhance our collective practice.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the complexities linking mental health to substance use disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a therapeutic alliance and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
