Fred Beans Parts is looking for a motivated Government/Fleet Outside Sales Representative to join our team! Outside Sales | Government Contracts | Municipal & Fleet Accounts

Are you a relationship builder who enjoys being out in the field, meeting customers, developing new business, and finding opportunities to grow sales? This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government and fleet customers while growing our customer base and increasing sales across the Fred Beans Parts organization.

This is a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM position with a combination of field sales, customer relationship management, and administrative responsibilities. There may also be occasional volunteer Saturdays for events and tradeshows.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government and fleet customers.
• Visit current and prospective customers in person and communicate with customers by phone.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and continuously grow the customer base.
• Work to increase customer purchases across all available Fred Beans Parts and CarQuest of Doylestown product lines when possible.
• Visit an average of 8-10 current and potential customers each day .
• Research new leads using maps, databases, and the Internet.
• Maintain accurate customer and contact information in our customer database.
• Track daily customer sales calls, follow-ups, opportunities, and results.
• Review inactive customer accounts and identify opportunities to bring business back.
• Develop weekly sales call calendars and provide updates on previous week's wins, opportunities, and customer feedback.
• Meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals established by management.
• Participate in monthly sales meetings and regular meetings with the sales management team.
• Assist with marketing initiatives, promotions, events, lunch & learns, and manufacturer training.
• Work closely with internal departments, including Accounting, to help provide an excellent customer experience.
• Maintain a professional and positive relationship with customers, coworkers, and Fred Beans affiliates.
• Submit Bids and Review Contracts

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous outside sales, business development, account management, fleet, automotive, or related experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable making phone calls and meeting customers face-to-face.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing a daily schedule and sales activity.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to identify new business opportunities and follow through on leads.
• Professional, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, maps, and other information.
• Comfortable using computers and customer relationship management/database systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to occasionally stand, sit, kneel, and lift light loads up to 50 pounds.
