Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders in patients of various age groups.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing the latest evidence-based practices tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, closely monitoring their effects and making adjustments as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including psychotherapy and counseling services, employing a range of approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Engage in collaborative care by coordinating with other mental health professionals to ensure a seamless and holistic treatment approach for each patient.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and involvement in their care.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking responses to treatment, therapy outcomes, and fluctuations in symptoms.
• Schedule and conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness, address patient concerns, and refine treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences to continuously improve patient care and contribute to team knowledge.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is essential; a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is highly preferred.
• Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop effective treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a psychiatric practice or mental health setting, particularly within a concierge medicine model is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
