Work Environment This full-time position is entirely remote, utilizing advanced telehealth platforms to deliver counseling services. As part of our dedicated team, you will engage with clients in a virtual setting, employing technology to create a comfortable and confidential space for therapy. Our emphasis on remote work facilitates a flexible schedule while allowing you to manage your workload effectively. The typical work hours will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized and group counseling sessions addressing diverse mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD specific to the veteran population. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and collaboratively create tailored treatment plans. Offer supportive counseling and crisis intervention to guide clients and their families through challenging situations. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and a multifaceted approach to mental health treatment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards. Engage in continuous learning by staying abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in the mental health counseling field. Actively participate in supervision and professional development workshops aimed at enhancing counseling skills and knowledge. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary focus of this position will be on clients from military backgrounds, including veterans and active service members, with mental health challenges often related to their service. You will support clients from various backgrounds, navigating their unique experiences and tailoring your approach to meet their specific needs. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field. Possession of an active and independent Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license from the state of Pennsylvania is essential. Proven ability to maintain detailed clinical records and prepare reports effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting, combining expertise from various fields to support clients holistically. Excellent communication skills with a capacity to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. Strong judgment and decision-making skills based on professional knowledge. Experience providing mental health counseling to diverse populations, particularly those with military backgrounds is a plus. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Flexibility in adapting therapeutic approaches to meet the evolving needs of clients and the organization. Preferred Experience Experience working with veterans or military personnel and understanding of unique challenges they face. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital counseling techniques. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with mental health practices. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, reflecting the value we place on our mental health professionals.
