Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review patients' medical histories to identify underlying conditions affecting their physical capabilities.
• Consult with patients to assess their physical condition, symptoms, and rehabilitation goals through detailed interviews and evaluations.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modalities.
• Instruct patients on effective therapeutic exercise techniques tailored to their abilities and recovery objectives.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, massage, and functional training activities to promote healing and facilitate recovery.
• Assist patients with mobility aids, teaching them the correct use of equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices.
• Evaluate and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and advice to patients and their families regarding in-home treatment options and exercises to support ongoing recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and sharing of vital patient information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current, valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in orthopedic therapy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in assessing and treating various physical health conditions.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to use electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of three years of experience is required, candidates with a background in treating sports injuries or implementing advanced therapeutic modalities will be prioritized. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to patient care protocols in a rehabilitation setting will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
