Seaport Orthopedic PT is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Hollywood, Florida. Work Environment

As part of our onsite rehabilitation center, you will be working in a friendly, patient-focused environment alongside a multidisciplinary team. With operational hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you will have a structured schedule allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Our facility is designed to facilitate a robust therapeutic process, featuring advanced rehabilitation equipment and tools that support our physical therapists in delivering effective care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients within 24 hours of physician referral, documenting findings and actions to ensure continuity of care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and secure physician approval for proposed therapies.
• Implement treatment protocols, assist nursing staff in training Restorative Aides, and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering patient care.
• Maintain clear communication with healthcare team members, including regular updates on patient progress and challenges encountered.
• Facilitate and contribute to Patient Care Conferences and Rehabilitation Conferences, actively engaging in discussions that enhance patient outcomes.
• Conduct in-service training sessions for facility staff to promote best practices and improve overall service delivery.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress notes in compliance with state regulations and third-party payer requirements.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation protocols and discharge plans, ensuring they are fully prepared for transitioning out of therapy services.
• Assist in the discharge planning process and recommend necessary durable medical equipment that fosters independence in daily activities.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to ensure all departmental tools are functioning optimally.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions that affect their musculoskeletal health. Our patient population includes individuals of various ages and activity levels, with a focus on restoring mobility and function. You will be instrumental in devising and delivering rehabilitative strategies that enable patients to attain their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's Degree preferred.
• Possession of current Florida State Licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Solid understanding of outpatient orthopedic practices, including manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interactions and collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging between $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for continuing education and professional development.
