Work Environment

You will work onsite in our well-equipped rehabilitation facility located in the vibrant city of Plantation, Florida. This dynamic environment fosters collaboration among a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexible hours available from either 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our facility is committed to a patient-centered approach, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention in a supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' physical abilities and limitations, ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Develop and implement personalized therapeutic interventions aimed at addressing the specific needs of each patient, including strength training, pain management strategies, and mobility exercises.
• Guide and motivate patients through both active and passive exercises, focusing on muscle re-education, gait training, and daily living activities.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, providing clear instructions and encouragement to enhance adherence and promote recovery.
• Utilize diverse treatment modalities, such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, or modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to facilitate healing.
• Maintain regular communication with the healthcare team to report progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient care and treatment progress accurately in accordance with facility guidelines and legal requirements, ensuring high quality and accountability.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with diverse age groups, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient. Your role is crucial in encouraging patients to actively participate in their recovery journey, thereby improving function and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; candidates with a Master's Degree are highly preferred.
• An active State Physical Therapy License in Florida, demonstrating your qualifications to practice.
• A minimum of one year of direct experience in a physical therapy setting, with a strong focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Proficient clinical assessment and treatment skills, ensuring individualized care and evidence-based decision-making.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a rehabilitation facility, particularly with a focus on orthopedic patients.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of the latest rehabilitation techniques and innovations in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually , supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
