Work Environment

This position is based in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, designed to foster a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. You will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) dedicated to prioritizing patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual patient goals and needs regarding mobility and rehabilitation.
• Manage a dedicated caseload of patients with a frequency of one patient per hour, ensuring personalized attention and care.
• Design and implement individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, including manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols.
• Provide effective treatment modalities that aim to reduce pain, improve functionality, and encourage independence while minimizing the need for medications or invasive procedures.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain clear communication with patients and their families regarding their rehabilitation journey.
• Document all patient care activities in compliance with industry standards and organizational policies, utilizing EMR software, particularly WebPT, for efficient record-keeping.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care for our patients.
• Encourage a proactive approach to health and recovery, motivating patients to engage in their treatment and adopt healthier lifestyles through improved strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with diverse age groups, tailoring programs to meet the unique needs of each patient, from athletes to older adults seeking to maintain their physical independence. Your expertise will significantly impact their recovery timelines and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Maintaining an unaffected professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exceptional skills in executing effective exercise protocols.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to efficiently manage patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly advantageous, as it demonstrates your ability to handle the specific challenges of this patient demographic.
• Proven track record of successful patient outcomes in reducing recovery times and improving mobility.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
