Work Environment\n

This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while collaborating with a dedicated team of mental health professionals committed to providing exceptional care. Regular virtual meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions enable you to stay connected and engaged with your colleagues, as well as ensuring you have the resources necessary for comprehensive client support. The standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop individualized and culturally appropriate treatment plans that align with each client's specific goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
\n
• Employ evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster effective treatment outcomes.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care strategies.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress against their treatment goals and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated care for clients.
\n
• Maintain accurate client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines to ensure confidentiality and quality of care.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
\n
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and promote destigmatization efforts within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients grappling with mood disorders like anxiety and depression, including vulnerable groups such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your ability to empathize, connect, and provide support in a nonjudgmental manner will be instrumental in fostering trust and helping clients navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building safe therapeutic relationships.

• A strong sense of empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ diverse experiences and challenges.

• Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills to efficiently handle a case load while maintaining administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in treating mood disorders, familiarity with addiction counseling, and the ability to utilize various therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients will enhance your candidacy. Additionally, experience working with marginalized communities will be viewed as a significant asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
