Benefits Manager Columbus, OH Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Own and oversee the full employee benefits portfolio with significant autonomy and visibility. Serve as the primary benefits subject matter expert for employees, leadership, and external partners. Lead strategic initiatives including open enrollment, plan enhancements, and vendor transitions. Play a key role in retirement plan governance and benefits program decision-making. Influence employee wellbeing through wellness programs and engagement initiatives. Partner closely with HR leadership on organizational projects and policy improvements. Work across a broad range of benefits disciplines including health, retirement, leave administration, and compliance. Strong benefits package including healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, generous paid time off, paid holidays, and tuition assistance. Key Responsibilities for the Benefits Manager: Administer medical, dental, vision, retirement, disability, life insurance, FSA, HSA, and wellness programs. Lead annual open enrollment, benefits communications, and new hire benefits orientation. Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations. Manage vendor and broker relationships, renewals, audits, and benefit program implementations. Monitor claims activity, reconcile benefit invoices, and support budgeting and forecasting. Oversee leave administration, workers' compensation, and retirement plan governance. Qualifications for the Benefits Manager: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Health, or a related field. 3+ years of employee benefits administration experience. Experience with retirement plan administration, wellness programs, or health-related programs. Knowledge of benefits compliance regulations including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and HIPAA.
