Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible work setting, primarily remote, allowing you to provide therapy from your location while still engaging with clients in their home environments or our outpatient office. Our outpatient facility serves as a collaborative space for team meetings and group therapy sessions, fostering an engaging atmosphere for both staff and clients. The role requires adaptability to varying work hours, with a focus on evening availability from 4 PM to 7 PM, complemented by potential weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, ensuring sessions meet the therapeutic needs of each child.

• Implement evidence-based techniques to foster anger management, coping, and social skills while effectively minimizing high-risk behavior such as self-injurious tendencies and physical aggression.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and liaise with multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to supporting youth and family wellness, ensuring a cohesive treatment plan.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all deadlines for submission.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, recommendations, and assess progress within treatment objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily addresses the unique needs of children aged 3 to 20 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will work with a diverse client base, providing tailored therapeutic interventions that recognize and respect cultural backgrounds, particularly for bilingual clients who may communicate in Spanish or Portuguese. Your work will directly impact the emotional, social, and functional development of these children and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related mental health field is required.

• Possession of a valid and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours is essential, with weekend flexibility considered advantageous.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
