Work Environment\n

This role is designed for a remote work environment, with a focus on a school setting. You will collaborate with various school professionals, including teachers, school counselors, and other healthcare staff, to create a supportive framework for student mental health. Your work hours will typically be Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the potential for occasional evening and weekend shifts to meet the operational needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations for students, gathering comprehensive personal histories and identifying current issues and risk factors impacting their well-being.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with students, addressing mental health concerns, promoting emotional resilience, and facilitating integration within the school community.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to treat a wide array of mental health challenges.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies.
\n
• Work in tandem with other mental health professionals including psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure a cohesive approach to student care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate mental health support during high-stress situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with school-aged children and adolescents, addressing their mental health needs within the academic context. You will engage with a diverse student body, tailoring your interventions to accommodate multicultural perspectives and varying individual circumstances. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid LCSW license in Florida.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally in mental health or an educational setting.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, with a focus on evidence-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed practices.

• Proven ability to conduct assessments, diagnose conditions, and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions with a variety of therapeutic methods.

• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students, families, and educational staff.

Compensation and Benefits\n
