Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to evaluate mental, emotional, and behavioral health, ensuring accurate documentation from the initial consultation through the entirety of the treatment process.

• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that cater to the needs of various client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging one-on-one therapy sessions and group therapy discussions, fostering a safe space for open dialogue and emotional exploration.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address changing needs and ensuring optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies that address the holistic needs of clients.

• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and other attending physicians regarding client care, particularly for those admitted to inpatient facilities, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to successful client recovery and proactively develop strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support and guide family members and primary caregivers by providing them with resources and strategies to effectively manage their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Balanced Being Psychotherapy Center, you will encounter a diverse patient population with various mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your ability to provide culturally sensitive therapy and a compassionate approach will be paramount in building trust and rapport with clients from different backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant licensing examinations, obtaining a passing score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, with experience in AVATAR being a plus.

• Solid understanding of ethical practices and standards set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for successful interactions with clients and interdisciplinary team members.

• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, active listening, and a supportive attitude towards clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in a clinical setting working as a mental health counselor.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
