Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and determine suitable treatment modalities.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, emotional resilience, and empowerment.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, build coping strategies, and promote personal growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care that addresses both mental health and medical needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, employing effective techniques to stabilize patients.

• Educate patients and their support systems about the effects of trauma, adaptive coping strategies, and available resources to enhance their journey toward recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, updating records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma therapy to ensure the delivery of top-tier mental health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other highly stressful events. Many of our patients are dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be essential in fostering a safe environment where these individuals can openly discuss their experiences and seek healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C valid in Maryland.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is required to ensure proficiency in trauma-informed approaches.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and competence in implementing trauma-informed treatment methods.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, conveying compassion and understanding, while maintaining professional boundaries.

• Capacity to remain calm and composed when dealing with patients in crises.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a strong aptitude for navigating technology.

• A collaborative mindset, willing to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

• Additional certifications in trauma-focused therapies (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT) are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
