Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for clients in our detox center to identify their unique mental health needs, along with social determinants that may affect their treatment.
• Provide individualized one-on-one counseling sessions to clients, addressing a diverse range of mental health and psychosocial challenges, including addiction, depression, and anxiety.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that focus on common mental health issues, fostering a supportive community for clients and providing psychoeducation on recovery strategies.
• Develop tailored treatment plans with measurable goals and evidence-based interventions, regularly updating them as clients progress in their recovery.
• Deliver crisis intervention services by conducting risk assessments, creating safety plans, and coordinating access to necessary emergency resources.
• Advocate for clients' rights, assisting them in navigating healthcare systems and community resources to ensure they receive the support they need.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW within a detox center, you will work primarily with individuals struggling with addiction and related mental health disorders. This role demands a high level of empathy and understanding of the complexities of substance use situations, as well as the various social barriers that clients may face during their recovery process. Your efforts will be vital in helping clients rebuild their lives, restore their mental well-being, and regain independence.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Proven clinical experience in providing social work and counseling services, particularly within mental health and addiction contexts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on fostering strong therapeutic relationships.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits

Aurora Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 95,000 per year, which recognizes your experience and contributions to the team. In addition to salary, we provide a sign-on bonus for new hires.
