This position allows for remote work, enabling you to provide therapy from the comfort of your own space while still engaging deeply with clients via teletherapy. Our outpatient office in Galveston serves as a hub for staff collaboration, training, and professional development. We maintain a healthy work-life balance by offering flexible hours, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that reflect their specific needs and therapeutic goals, ensuring their active involvement in their own care process.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate behavioral change and emotional regulation.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, including treatment options and self-care strategies, empowering them with knowledge for improved mental health.

• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress throughout treatment by maintaining accurate records and adjusting treatment plans based on evolving needs.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to create a coordinated care approach, ensuring holistic treatment for our clients.

• Stay informed of the latest research and trends in the field of mental health, integrating new findings into practice to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrated expertise in employing evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, tailored to mood disorders.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the skills necessary to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and medical staff.

• Proven history of delivering successful therapeutic outcomes for clients experiencing mood disorders.

• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for establishing trust and building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
