As a key member of our counseling team, you will collaborate with various healthcare professionals to develop holistic treatment plans, connecting with specialists in different disciplines such as psychiatry, nursing, and social work when appropriate. Working remotely includes regular video conference sessions with clients and team members, ensuring open communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation through the treatment journey.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health while developing tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices to foster growth and healing.
\n
• Observe and monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to coordinate intervention strategies with other health specialists, including social workers and medical professionals.

• Conduct follow-up consultations with psychiatrists and other medical personnel for clients requiring hospitalization.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery, proactively addressing behaviors that may hinder clients' progress.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges, providing education and strategies for effective support.

This role focuses on a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Arizona licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong understanding of best practices in mental health care as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with clients and other professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrated ability to conduct psychotherapy using a variety of methods.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation and treatment plans.

• An understanding of common physical and emotional health conditions as they relate to mental health, as well as knowledge of addiction disorders.

• Proficient in assessing the effects of psychotropic medications and collaborating with medical specialists regarding treatment impacts.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a caring and empathetic nature towards clients.
