Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma backgrounds, effectively customizing treatment approaches based on individual needs.

• Formulate and execute tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience for your patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), effectively guiding patients through their healing process.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on assisting patients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and encouraging healing and growth.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, adjusting treatment plans as required.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, responding with sensitivity and expertise to ensure patient safety and trust.
\n
• Inform and educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to foster empowerment.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards while using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves individuals affected by trauma, including those struggling with PTSD and complex trauma. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique needs and experiences. You will be instrumental in helping them navigate their therapeutic journeys, fostering healing, and building resilience in a supportive and non-judgmental space.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• An active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.

• Should possess strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methods.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, alongside a compassionate demeanor, are essential to build rapport with patients.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and to respond effectively to patient needs.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we welcome licensed therapists from various backgrounds who are eager to specialize in trauma-informed care. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits\n
