Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in managing your schedule while providing outpatient counseling services. Our office is open Monday through Saturday, and you will have the autonomy to create your own calendar based on your availability and client needs. The outpatient office is equipped with the necessary resources to support both clients and counselors, ensuring a seamless interaction throughout the therapy process.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct psychosocial assessments for individuals, adolescents, families, and groups to identify their mental health needs and create tailored therapeutic interventions.

• Perform comprehensive initial assessments of clients and their families, triaging care to ensure they receive appropriate support based on their unique situations.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by sharing relevant client information through documentation and participation in patient rounds, ensuring cohesive and effective care plans.

• Utilize advanced clinical practices to address the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of all patients, demonstrating an understanding of their diverse backgrounds.

• Provide case management for assigned patients, coordinating with hospital and community professionals to facilitate comprehensive treatment and support.

• Complete required documentation ethically and promptly, adhering to departmental standards and regulatory requirements.

• Implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and other evidence-based treatment modalities to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele at MedCore includes a diverse range of individuals dealing with various mental health conditions, from anxiety and depression to more complex psychological issues. Counselors will be responsible for engaging with clients of all ages, developing relationships that promote trust and openness, and delivering suitable interventions for each unique case.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Willingness to work between 10 to 40 hours per week based on session availability and client demand.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is required, demonstrating proficiency in delivering therapeutic services.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in outpatient mental health facilities or similar therapeutic environments is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to enhance client communication and documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
