Job Summary Performs accounts receivable duties such as receipt booking, cash application, customer collections, balance sheet account reconciliations, and other functions as assigned. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Prepare various journal entries, records, regulatory reports, and budget information Performs accounting functions related to customer accounting and accounts receivable reconciliations Assist with preparation of tax returns and supporting tax calculations Verify and/or perform calculations including, but not limited to: Ratios Percentages and discounts Allocations Account charges Utilize applicable micro and/or mainframe applications to assist with preparation and/or verification of information including, but not limited to: Governmental/regulatory reports Financial reports Quarterly income statements Provide information and assistance to auditors, governmental/regulatory staff, managers, employees, customers, and others concerning accounting activities Education Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience Work Experience Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Knowledge of standard accounting methods and procedures Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software applications, financial accounting and reporting standards and processes, corporate tax functions and preparation of returns, economic forecasting/modeling and corporate budget functions Ability to apply math and algebraic formulas Skills in communication/interpersonal Ability to perform various accounting activities Ability to research and compose reports and correspondence applicable to position Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, accounting/tax publications, auditors’ requests, company correspondence, accounting software manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents Ability to communicate and/or exchange information or instruction Ability to interact and communicate effectively Licenses and Certifications None required Strength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/Requirements Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
