Unload Mental Health Care is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Therapist, with a particular focus on supporting individuals recovering from substance use disorders. As a full-time member of our dynamic outpatient team, you will play a vital role in guiding clients toward their recovery goals while employing evidence-based therapeutic practices. This remote position allows you to deliver impactful mental health services while working from the comfort of your own space, and also requires occasional visits to our Fremont, California office.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of new clients to gather comprehensive information about their substance use history, mental health status, and personal recovery goals.

• Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapies tailored to each client's unique needs and progress throughout their treatment journey.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions, utilizing approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to promote engagement and self-efficacy.

• Lead group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for shared experiences, fostering community and support among individuals facing similar challenges.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a well-rounded treatment experience for clients.

Qualifications\n

• A relevant master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment practices, along with demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy, respect, and non-judgmental support.

• A proven ability to maintain professional boundaries while ensuring client confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with digital communication tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team!
