Work Environment

This position is predominantly onsite, focusing on home care services. As a Physical Therapist, you will work primarily in patients' residences, bringing your expertise directly to them. This work setting not only allows you to see immediate impacts of your interventions in a natural environment but also fosters a more personal connection with your patients. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a consistent routine while providing ample time for patient focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one patient care in a home setting, typically managing the rehabilitation of 1–2 patients per hour.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient's specific orthopedic conditions.
• Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to facilitate patient recovery and improve mobility.
• Document patient progress accurately using our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care for each patient.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and home care strategies to enhance long-term health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse group of patients, primarily focusing on those with musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain issues. Our clients range from older adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries to individuals dealing with acute injuries, allowing you to apply a wide array of treatment techniques tailored to varying needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid California Physical Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain one) is mandatory for practice.
• Solid problem-solving abilities are necessary to adapt treatment strategies effectively based on patient responsiveness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist is preferred, particularly in an outpatient or home care setting.
• Experience working with orthopedic patients will be highly regarded.
• No prior mentorship experience is required, but willingness to engage in ongoing professional development is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
