Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate each patient’s trauma history and establish appropriate treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based intervention strategies.

• Provide therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a conducive atmosphere for patients to process trauma and learn coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Rapidly assess and provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources available to support their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Continuously enhance your knowledge by staying updated with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary client population will consist of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, particularly those who are dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will provide tailored mental health care aimed at helping clients navigate their trauma and establish resilience through therapeutic techniques that promote healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment delivery.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and engage effectively with patients in crisis.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling is preferred. Experience with trauma-focused therapies and interventions significantly enhances your candidacy for this position.

Compensation and Benefits\n
