Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health and emotional needs, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to inform diagnoses and treatment planning.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to the specific needs of patients affected by cancer, considering their unique cultural and psychosocial backgrounds.

• Ongoing evaluation of patient progress to ensure the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; adapt strategies as necessary to meet evolving patient needs and goals.

• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and within required timelines using electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal department procedures.

• Function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health care and coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and resources available to support their mental well-being.

• Act as a mentor to interns and junior clinicians, providing guidance around clinical practices, peer review opportunities, and participation in team development initiatives.

• Utilize supervision from clinical leadership for professional growth, including peer collaboration, chart audits, and actionable feedback supports for continuous professional improvement.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers an annual salary between $90,000 and $105,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
