Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations by reviewing patients' medical histories, performing specific physical assessments, and documenting findings accurately. This includes establishing a clear baseline and setting achievable goals with the patient and their family.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the patient's needs, conditions, and progress. You will demonstrate proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, modalities, and exercise prescriptions tailored to each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Engage in effective communication with patients and families, explaining evaluation findings and treatment strategies, while actively involving them in goal-setting to enhance compliance and motivation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care, recognizing when to adapt treatment plans based on patients' progress or changes in their condition.
• Manage patient documentation and billing efficiently, ensuring timely and precise entries that reflect care activities, discharge planning, and progress reporting in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Exemplify strong time management skills by maintaining an organized schedule, participating in departmental meetings punctually, and contributing to clinic marketing initiatives.
• Champion the clinic's departmental goals and compliance with accreditation standards while fostering adherence to governmental regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient clinic primarily serves adults and seniors experiencing a range of musculoskeletal issues, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. The right candidate will utilize a person-centered approach, offering compassionate care while tailoring treatment plans to meet diverse patient needs, including developmental stages and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with patients and their families.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and maintain a productive caseload.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, candidates with advanced certifications or specialized training in areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, or sports rehabilitation will be favored. Previous experience in outpatient physical therapy settings and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems are also desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
