Work Environment

This full-time role is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility, where you will engage with patients face-to-face, providing hands-on treatment and support. Our typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for well-balanced work-life integration while addressing the needs of our patient population. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, which promotes a holistic approach to patient health and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement various manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens that enhance mobility and strength.
• Guide patients through tailored rehabilitation exercises, ensuring correct form and technique to prevent injury.
• Normalize patient loads by maintaining a ratio of one patient per hour, allowing for comprehensive care and focus.
• Monitor treatment progress, adjust plans as necessary, and document sessions accurately in our electronic medical records (EMR).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a unified approach in patient care and health advisories.
• Empower patients through education on exercise regimens, lifestyle changes, and wellness strategies that optimize recovery.
• Facilitate discussions with patients about cost-effective treatments while minimizing reliance on medications through non-surgical interventions.
• Promote a culture of wellness through community outreach and educational programs.
• Stay abreast of the latest evidence-based practices and methodologies in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals with private medical insurance, requiring a range of orthopedic rehabilitation services. Your role will entail working with patients recovering from sports-related injuries, post-surgical recoveries, and chronic pain disorders. By understanding each patient's specific condition and desired outcomes, you will be able to provide personalized treatment that improves their day-to-day functionality and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with a focus on orthopedic practices.
• A valid Physical Therapist license issued in New York, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• While the position requires at least two years of relevant experience in orthopedic outpatient care, familiarity with EMR software such as WebPT is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective individual exercise routines.
• A strong ability to engage with patients, coupled with exceptional communication skills that foster a supportive recovery environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation facility with a focus on outpatient care, particularly for athletes or active individuals.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This package includes healthcare coverage, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
