Work Environment

This position is set within an onsite working environment, specifically in our orthopedic outpatient practice. You will be part of a collaborative team that includes two Physical Therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), creating a supportive atmosphere that fosters growth and patient success. The facility is equipped with advanced technology and treatment tools to assist in delivering effective therapies tailored to our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret patient needs and care goals, developing individualized treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, allowing for thorough evaluations and treatment sessions.
• Leverage your expertise to implement evidence-based interventions aimed at promoting recovery and enhancing functionality.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and develop customized exercise regimens aligned with patient goals.
• Minimize the need for medications through non-invasive therapeutic options and educative practices.
• Track and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans using EMR software such as WebPT, ensuring precision and compliance.
• Engage in continuous communication with patients to provide motivation and encouragement throughout their recovery process.
• Collaborate with a diverse range of healthcare professionals to deliver integrative care.
• Promote wellness through education about strength training, flexibility exercises, balance improvement, and coordination activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals with orthopedic issues, the majority of whom are supported by private medical insurance. These patients range from athletes recovering from injuries to individuals undergoing rehabilitation from surgeries or chronic conditions. Your role will be essential in guiding them through tailored treatment plans that support their active lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid Physical Therapist license issued by New York is necessary, with verification of no board or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy and the development of exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software systems, particularly WebPT, is essential for the documentation of patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly advantageous.
• Experience in sports medicine or rehabilitation clinics will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
