Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required: 2 years License: Must hold a valid RN license from a non-compact state or an active Virginia State or Compact RN license. Certifications: ACLS BLS Must-Have: Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration. Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and chest tubes. Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management. Description: Position requires working in all PCU and MS units. Nurses will float based on staffing needs, with re-evaluation every 4 hours. Travelers may float 2-3 times per shift. Weekend work may include every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week block. One holiday is required to be worked during the contract duration. First-time travelers are welcome. Pending licenses are accepted if specific criteria are met. All scheduling requests must be included with the submission. Facility may call off one shift every two weeks. Background includes telemetry and stepdown-level care experience. Patient ratios are typically 5:1 for PCU and 6:1 for MS, with potential flexing. Advanced specialty care is provided. The facility is recognized for nursing excellence and advanced clinical care.
