Registered Nurse (RN) Transplant Lead Valley Park, Missouri Employment Type: Staff | Duration: Ongoing Job Overview Lead the 16400 Kidney/Liver Transplant team at Barnes‑Jewish Hospital, supporting daily operations and ensuring high‑quality patient care during admission, inpatient treatment, discharge, and ambulatory care. This position requires a hands‑on nurse with leadership experience to champion patient safety, evidence‑based practices, and interprofessional collaboration. Responsibilities Facilitate identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization through discharge and beyond. Critically assess patient data, anticipate changes, and establish consults with the interprofessional team as needed. Lead development and implementation of complex individual care plans, ensuring alignment with nursing standards and patient/family goals. Champion evidence‑based practices: participate in journal club, lead practice changes, and disseminate new knowledge. Explore opportunities to advance nursing practice and represent the profession in community or professional activities. Analyze gaps in practice standards and provide feedback to peers and leadership to enhance patient safety. Lead evaluation of patient and family experience, adjusting care to improve satisfaction and quality. Maintain constant alertness and safe practice in this safety‑sensitive role. Minimum Requirements Two to five years of nursing experience, preferably inpatient. Current RN license in Missouri. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing highly preferred; Magnet status support. Experience leading a unit or charge nurse role is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with five to ten years of experience.
