Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and families, ensuring that individual needs and backgrounds are prioritized in the therapeutic process.

• Provide individual and family therapy tailored to the specific needs identified during assessments, utilizing evidence-based practices that foster meaningful progress.

• Complete necessary documentation promptly, including billing, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, maintaining compliance with both state and federal regulations.

• Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans where applicable, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans to support patients in maintaining stability in their daily lives.

• Facilitate discharge planning that considers ongoing support needs and resources available to the patient post-therapy.
\n
• Adhere to all relevant laws, regulatory requirements, and NEHS policies to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
\n
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in training and educational opportunities, thereby enhancing your therapeutic skills.

• Collaborate with colleagues in case consultations and agency meetings to discuss treatment strategies and share insights for improved patient outcomes.

• Ensure compliance with state licensure requirements by completing all mandatory training and reporting.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at our community health clinic, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health challenges. Your role will involve addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational conflicts, all within a culturally informed framework that values and respects the unique experiences of each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field, which qualifies you for licensure.

• Valid licensure as a mental health therapist in the State of Nevada (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW) is required.
