About the Position

The focus will be on newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients. The staffing ratio goal is 1:4, but can be adjusted to 1:5 based on patient needs. Weekends are variable, depending on unit requirements. Scheduling is self-directed, allowing nurses to submit scheduling preferences. Orientation includes a structured first week followed by unit-specific training with a preceptor. There is a significant emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies. Experience in oncology is preferred but not mandatory. Equipment used includes monitors, telemetry systems, bladder scanners, and infusion pumps. Candidates must comply with credentialing requirements within specified timeframes.
