Work Environment\n

This position primarily supports remote work, allowing for flexibility in how and where you provide care. While most sessions are conducted via virtual platforms, occasional team meetings and consultations may require some presence at our clinic. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility necessary to meet the individual needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to accurately evaluate patients' trauma histories, guiding the development of appropriate treatment interventions.

• Create and execute personalized treatment plans that focus on promoting recovery and resilience in clients affected by trauma.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual client needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing clients with tools to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, integrating various treatment modalities as needed.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about the effects of trauma and equip them with coping mechanisms and community resources.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, reflecting the progress and treatment outcomes of each client.

• Participate in case consultations, clinical meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care principles.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advances in trauma therapy, continually refining your skills and treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly those dealing with PTSD and complex trauma. This demographic often includes survivors of abuse, military veterans, and victims of natural disasters or crime. Your role will involve addressing the unique needs of these clients, creating a safe space for them to share their experiences, and guiding them toward effective recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly involving trauma-focused care.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and resilience-building approaches.

• Experience in applying trauma-focused therapeutic interventions effectively.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor that fosters trust with clients.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure, managing high-stress situations with professionalism.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software applications.
\n
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health care team.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, preferred candidates will have experience conducting group therapy sessions and supporting clients through intensive therapeutic interventions. additional trainings or certifications in specific trauma-informed modalities, such as EMDR or TF-CBT, will also be considered assets.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
