Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Special Education endorsement required
• Experience delivering instruction to students with a range of disabilities across academic, social-emotional, and behavioral domains
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to design and deliver grade-level-aligned curriculum with individualized supports
• Collaborative mindset for working with program aides, 1:1 support staff, and related service providers
• Skilled in utilizing structured teaching, visual schedules, sensory strategies, and behavioral interventions
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver cross-categorical instruction to students at elementary/middle level in alignment with grade standards and individualized goals
• Integrate and adapt a variety of instructional and behavioral supports to address academic, communication, social-emotional, and functional needs
• Collaborate closely with aides and service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
• Monitor student progress and collect data to inform instruction and IEP updates
• Implement visual, sensory, and communication supports to maximize student engagement
• Foster a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth for all students
