Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials (Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement required)
• Experience in developing and implementing IEPs for students with varied disabilities
• Strong understanding of cross-categorical instructional strategies and supports
• Skilled in adapting curriculum to align with grade-level standards while targeting individualized goals
• Ability to collaborate effectively with aides, related service providers, and families
• Dedication to fostering inclusive, positive, and structured learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, standards-based instruction while accommodating individual learning needs through specialized teaching methods
• Implement a variety of supports, including structured teaching, visual aids, sensory accommodations, and behavioral interventions
• Regularly gather student data to monitor progress toward IEP goals and make data-driven instructional adjustments
• Collaborate daily with support staff, service providers, and school leadership to ensure students receive comprehensive services
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas of need
• Maintain accurate records and demonstrate compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
