Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients’ mental health status, utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.

• Formulate evidence-based treatment plans based on individual client assessments, tailoring interventions to meet specific therapeutic goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally responsive methods to address diverse client needs.

• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately within our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure continuity of care and compliance with legal requirements.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary, such as psychiatrists and support groups, to enhance clients' recovery journeys.

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case studies and share insights, ensuring an integrated approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Guiding Light Psychotherapy Center, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals grappling with addiction issues, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other mental health challenges. This role demands a deep understanding of various cultural backgrounds and experiences, allowing you to provide inclusive and effective mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Thorough knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and ethical guidelines pertaining to counseling practices.

• Proficient skills in crisis intervention, with the capacity to navigate high-stress situations effectively.

• Strong aptitude for building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience working with electronic health record systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
