Our company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Consulting Engineer in structural engineering or in a Technical Direct Sales environment preferred;
- A general understanding of the construction and client-related business;
- Perpetuate and amplify a professional local brand to enhance the company brand to attract a following of targeted connections and relationships;
- Pre-solution markets while coordinating the Total Solution Review (TSR) process with designated shared service center;
- Complete futures market vetting for no less than four markets per fiscal year Minimum Requirements;
- Translate feedback into deal terms;
- Manage inbound leads;
- Manage existing business through regular visits, phone calls, and email communication;
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients;
- Work across a matrix organization that has both vertical and geographic responsibilities;
- Position ergonomic software solutions and consulting services to new and existing Humanscale clientele;
- Working in collaboration with the Consulting team to ensure impactful conversations;
- Represent Humanscale at industry trade shows and conferences;
- Interact effectively with Otis internal functional groups and business units, bankers, accounting firms and consultants;
- Drive revenue growth both in the short term (current product and services offerings) and the long term (strategic program captures and positioning).
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Consulting Engineer in structural engineering or in a Technical Direct Sales environment preferred;
- Proven track record of sales growth success;
- Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience in services-oriented business development or solutions architecture;
- Closed at least 5 seven-figure contracts with new accounts;
- Internships will be considered as applicable experiences;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- 2-5 years experience selling services in the landscaping, janitorial, construction, etc. industries;
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
- Proven track record of achieving yearly revenue targets;
- Must be a teammate with strong networking, communication, and presentation skills;
- Experience in DoD Acquisition Program structures and processes;
- Existing network within the fashion industry (preferred);
- Experience in selling in-person, and remotely via phone calls;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task;
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
