Our company is looking for a Research and Development Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical problem-solving skills to processes to identify critical performance factors;
  • Helps develop and write verification and validation SOPs and technical reports;
  • Provide direction and support to internal technical team and cross-functional core teams;
  • Help develop strategies for development of complex in vitro diagnostic tests for Enhancement projects;
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions to upper management;
  • Presents data at technical meetings;
  • Track project technical project deliverables using appropriate tools;
  • Present data at Executive meeting or deep-dive report-outs;
  • Be highly goal-oriented and organized with the ability to adapt and thrive in an atmosphere of shifting demands and priorities;
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.

Requirements:

  • Real time PCR or RT-PCR and product development experience;
  • Ability to work in an office environment;
  • Proven experience in Quality System Regulations (QRS) 21 CFR 820; Design Control ISO:13485:2003;
  • Proven experience in launching multiple products from concept to commercialization stage;
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft computer programs;
  • Experienced in interpreting and analyzing large scale experimental data sets;
  • Experience working with microorganisms involved in infectious diseases;
  • Proven experience in people management;
  • 15+ years of work experience in biology, chemistry or related fields;
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills;
  • Medical device and/or in vitro Diagnostic product launch experience is highly preferred;
  • Working knowledge of quality documentation management systems;
  • Experience with design of experiments (DOE) methods desirable;
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills that can translate to direct guidance of team members through complex issues;
  • Proven understanding of assay product development life-cycle.
