Our company is looking for a Test Engineering Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and improve ongoing production test sequences for engineering deviations, quick iteration in the design cycle is very important at Zoox;
  • Project management for the validation and test phases of supported projects, including reporting to leadership;
  • Provide training and support to engineering technicians to expand testing capacity;
  • Define and lead DFMEA action plans;
  • Grow and develop a team of Test Engineers and Technicians;
  • Perform first article verification of prototype designs;
  • Leads the allocation of test engineering resources to programs;
  • Identifies opportunities in the test group to improve test capabilities and procedures to achieve increased efficiency;
  • Provides test forecasts and identifies test lab needs for future projects;
  • Responsible for providing test input to technical and cost volumes for engineering proposals;
  • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data;
  • Establishes long and short-term objectives as they relate to individual employee achievements;
  • Responsible for the upkeep of all test engineering laboratory resources, including but not limited to calibration and upgrades;
  • Leads the engineering test group and ensures that all test developments follow a disciplined engineering process;
  • Leads and controls the test of new and recurring products.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of radio metrics, cryogenics, electronics, software and statistics;
  • Experience working in and developing scripts in Ubuntu;
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent);
  • Familiarity with automotive testing standards;
  • Experience in computer architecture, assembly, and test methods;
  • MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience;
  • Experience with sensors, mechatronics, and thermal management systems preferred;
  • 5+ years’ experience in aerospace, automotive or similar high-reliability engineering environment;
  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles;
  • 5+ years’ experience in aerospace, automotive or similar high-reliability engineering environment;
  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices;
  • BS Degree;
  • Broad expertise or unique knowledge in area and uses skills to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles;
  • Ability to handle multiple challenging, unstructured areas of responsibility;
  • Experience with AS9100 quality standards.
