Associate Data Scientist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Associate Data Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Apply statistical and modeling skills to enhance the understanding of our users at the individual level;
- Become a resident expert in our data science platform, existing datasets, and schemas;
- Work on studies and models to encode and automate portions of our investment process;
- Ideate and collaborate on building predictive models and algorithms to optimize products;
- Contribute in technical discussions on data standards and tooling;
- Author production-grade reports, analytics, and dashboards for the above and for portfolio risk measurement;
- Conduct hands-on research, business intelligence analysis and data mining on large, complex data sets to support the business.
Requirements:
- BA/BS or graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field;
- A deep understanding of analytic bias, A/B testing, and experimental design;
- Familiarity with econometrics and financial modeling a plus;
- Great communication and teamwork skills;
- Institutional financial, risk management, and/or investment domain experience is a plus;
- Experience or familiarity in survey data and analysis a plus;
- Basic experience with Excel;
- D3.js experience is desirable;
- Masters or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, or bachelors degree with significant healthcare experience;
- 2+ years working in an applied data analysis capacity required;
- Knowledge of Salesforce DMP, Adobe Audience Manager, Oracle BlueKai or other DMPs a plus;
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently;
- Customer Focus;
- Experience with consumer behavior and insights analysis (transactional and usage.);
- Knowledge or background in data engineering is a plus.
